Lets face it – holidays with kids are the BEST but sometimes it can be hard to know what events are worth going to (or, even just getting a list together can feel like hard work!) Don’t worry, I’ve got you! Here’s a comprehensive list of Easter events in Milwaukee if you’re looking to start some new traditions, or just find some fun things to do this year!
“Egg Day” happens just before Easter. In 2025, Egg Day is the day before Easter, on April 19th. The great thing about this event is that a zoo pass gets you free admission to the event. You and your children can see the Easter bunny at the zoo, watch animals eating special “egg” enrichment treats, and participate in activities like scavenger hunts and bingo. It is a super fun event for all ages!

If you’re looking for a special brunch experience, consider the Easter brunch at the Ingleside Hotel! Not only will you get to have a delicious brunch, but the kids will be able to meet the Easter bunny and participate in an Egg hunt afterwards. Details for 2025 can be found here.
I’m definitely taking my kids to this event this year! The East Troy Railroad will take you and your children for a 10 mile trip to the Elegant Farmer. On the way there, kids will participate in a scavenger hunt out their windows. Once at the Elegant Farmer, kids can meet the Easter bunny, and will even receive a free gift.
Tickets are $26 for non-member adults and range from $12-21 for children depending on their age. You can find more information here!
One of the most classic type of easter events in Milwaukee is the neighborhood egg hunt. There are likely egg hunts for most of the larger suburban cities around Milwaukee. Some favorites that are well organized are Waukesha, Pewaukee and Shorewood. I recommend looking for egg hunts that are divided by age to make sure your children have the best chance of being able to participate.
Elmbrook church is a large church in Brookfield, Wisconsin that hosts many wonderful events! They will be having their annual Egg Bash the day before Easter, where children can participate in an egg hunt and other activities that are family-friendly including visits with the Easter bunny, face-painting, and crafts. Find more information from their website, here!
I’d love to hear in the comments what your favorite egg hunts and Easter events are!
